Heavy Duty English Wheel is designed for the professional fabricator and builder. Constructed of heavy duty 3" x 2" x .250" wall steel tubing which provides the strength needed for most jobs. Unit has a 24" throat depth to accommodate larger shapes. The 8" diameter upper wheel and lower anvils ride on tapered roller bearings and are adjustable side to side for precision alignment to create consistent tracking needed during fabrication. Two lower anvils are included. The unit has a precision thread acme lead screw for height adjustment. Anvils are precision-machined and hardened to exact specifications for durability, precision alignment and tracking. Anvil sizes range from 1” to 3” in increments of .250”, and our technical service department can provide assistance for any special jobs or can create any anvil to your specifications. Combine this unit with the Universal Base 5010 for a solid and stable foundation which is critical during forming. Unit is made completely in the USA and carries a two-year manufacturer’s defect warranty.

She, being a steamboat, employed on our shore; to carry freight, mail and passengers, down on the Labrador!

On the 10th of December, as you all well may know, in the year 1919, on her last trip did go! Where she leaved Daniel's Harbour about 4pm, for the strong breeze from the southern Cow Head did steam!

The glass indicated a wild raging storm, and about 9 o' clock, the storm did come on! With the ship's husband's onboard, the crew had no fear. Captain English gave orders for to on Bay D'Espoir.

At first through the storm, the brave ship gave no heed; till at length it was found, she was fast losing speed! And the great waves all 'round her like mountains did rise! And the crew all stood staring with fear in their eyes!

The orders went 'round, to preserve for their life, for ship she is doomed, and it's perish we might! But still, there is hope, there's one brave man onboard, who says he can guide her safely onto the shore.

Walter Young being our purser, as you may understand, volunteered for to guide her, safely into the land! John Gullage, our first mate, he stood to the wheel, Captain English gave orders, "All work with the Will".

Upon Martin's Point, about 1 o' clock, through bravery and courage, she escaped every rock! And the people on shore saw the ship in distress, all rushed to the spot, for to help do their best.

And then we were landed in a rude bo's'n's chair, taken in by the people, and treated with care! We stayed on the Point till the storm it was o'er, and the brave little Ethie lay standing on shore!

Oh-hhh, out of the fright, the exhaustion and cold, the depth of my story, will never be told! So all you young fellows, get shipwrecked at sea, you thinks on the fate of the S.S. Ethie!
